Valentine's Day in Memphis 2027

Most 2027 plans are not out yet, so apart from the zoo’s events, the listings below are what Memphis venues ran in 2026, taken from the organizers’ pages and the Downtown Memphis Commission’s Valentine’s guide. We list only what venues announce.

Valentine’s Day 2027 falls on Sunday, Feb. 14, so expect most dinners and events across the weekend of Feb. 12-14. The first confirmed 2027 events are at the Memphis Zoo, which lists Lanterns & L’amour and a Galentine’s Night on Feb. 12-14 during its Lantern Festival. In 2026, the big Memphis draws were dinner cruises on the Mississippi, set-menu dinners downtown and a run for couples on Mud Island. We will add 2027 dates as venues post them, usually in January. Venues can send us their plans.

Confirmed for 2027

The Memphis Zoo’s events calendar lists two Valentine’s weekend evenings, Friday, Feb. 12, to Sunday, Feb. 14, 2027, during the zoo’s winter Lantern Festival:

• Lanterns & L’amour: 6 to 9 p.m.
• Galentine’s Night: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

What ran in 2026

On the river

Memphis Riverboats ran its Valentine’s Day Dinner and Music Cruise on four nights in 2026, Thursday, Feb. 12, to Sunday, Feb. 15, 6:30 to 9 p.m., boarding at 45 S. Riverside Drive. Each cruise was two hours on the Mississippi with the house band and a buffet.

Run, make or laugh

• Couple Shuffle: a Valentine’s run that started at 9 a.m. Feb. 14, 2026, from the middle Mud Island parking lot at Greenbelt Park, 1320 N. Mud Island Road (registration page).
• Metal Museum copper rose workshops: in 2026 the museum held Forged with Love on Feb. 7 and Roses and Rosé on Feb. 14, where couples make a copper rose by hand.
• Comedy: the Orpheum hosted a Valentine’s weekend comedy show on Feb. 13, 2026; check the Orpheum’s event list for 2027 shows.

Galentine’s and anti-Valentine’s

Downtown bars and restaurants ran Galentine’s brunches, sip-and-shop nights and music bingo the week before Feb. 14, 2026, plus at least one anti-Valentine’s party, all listed in the Downtown Memphis Commission’s guide.

Dinner

Restaurants post Valentine’s menus in late January. In 2026 the downtown guide listed set dinners at Paulette’s and No. 2 Vance, among others. For restaurants with their regular hours and official links, see our date night and brunch guides.
