Black Friday is Friday, Nov. 27, 2026, and Small Business Saturday is Nov. 28. The biggest change this year is in East Memphis: Oak Court Mall is closed for redevelopment, and only Dillard’s, Pinnacle Bank and the office building on the site remain open. That leaves Wolfchase Galleria in Cordova as the city’s main indoor mall. For city questions, call Memphis 311, 901-636-6500.

Wolfchase posts special hours on its hours page in the weeks before the holiday; we will add them here when they appear. Individual department stores and big-box stores set their own Black Friday hours, so check the store’s own site.
Getting to Wolfchase: the mall is off Interstate 40 at Exit 16; follow State Route 177 north onto Germantown Parkway. MATA Route 40 serves the mall (Wolfchase directions).
Oak Court Mall
Oak Court’s own site says the mall is closed for redevelopment and that demolition of the former mall building is part of the plan to prepare the property for new development with Poag Development Group and JLL. Dillard’s, Pinnacle Bank and the office building remain open, with signs to guide visitors around the work site (Oak Court Mall).
Small Business Saturday and downtown
Small Business Saturday, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, is Nov. 28, 2026. Downtown is where Memphis concentrates its holiday shopping push:
- The Downtown Memphis Commission publishes a holiday gift guide of downtown shops each year, with in-person and online options (holiday happenings).
- Main Street between G.E. Patterson Avenue and Butler Avenue is lit every night from 4 p.m. to midnight through the season, the commission says.
- The Downtown Holiday Tree stands at the corner of Peabody and Main, across from the Downtown Mobility Center.
Holiday markets
Confirmed for 2026: the Agricenter Farmers Market’s Christmas Craft Show is Saturday, Dec. 5, 2026, at the market, 7856 Smythe Farm Road, on the Agricenter International grounds (Agricenter Farmers Market). The farmers market itself is open Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., in season.

The tree lighting and parade, with their 2026 updates, are on our Christmas parade and tree lighting page. The Memphis Farmers Market’s regular downtown season runs April to October, Saturdays 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Memphis Farmers Market), so it is not open on Black Friday weekend.
Parking and traffic

What this means for you
- Do not plan a trip to Oak Court Mall itself; only Dillard’s and the bank are open there.
- Check Wolfchase’s hours page the week of Thanksgiving for Black Friday opening times.
- Shop small downtown on Nov. 28 and look for 2026 market dates in late October and November.
